Scope of Strategic Clinical Governance
  • Design and maintain the overall care architecture
  • Establish the governance structure guiding treatment decisions
  • Review, approve, and recalibrate care plans
  • Align interventions with recovery trajectory and functional independence goals
  • Coordinate medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, and support providers
  • Prevent fragmentation, duplication, and conflicting clinical approaches
  • Monitor relapse risk, safety indicators, and early warning patterns
  • Direct preventative adjustments as stability shifts
  • Oversee structured step-down strategy and care transitions
  • Increase or reduce care intensity based on stability and risk markers
  • Evaluate the suitability and role of companions, coaches, and support personnel
  • Lead crisis strategy and escalation protocols
  • Provide structured progress reporting during critical transition phases
  • Provide structured clinical communication to families and legal stakeholders
When Governance-Level Oversight Is Required
  • High complexity or multi-provider treatment structures
  • Fluctuating stability requiring dynamic adjustment of care intensity
  • Active relapse risk or psychiatric safety considerations
  • Transitions between levels of care requiring formal step-down planning

Oversight intensity increases during higher-risk periods and scales down as sustained stability is established. This structure maintains alignment across providers and prevents systemic breakdown during periods of risk.
